Mark Hamilton
MANAGING PARTNER
Mark’s areas of specialisation include business and personal legal services, business disputes, wine law, Wills, estate planning and estate disputes.
Mark has been extensively involved with public administration, serving as an Adelaide City Council Member for 16 years, including a term as Deputy Lord Mayor.
Outside of work, Mark manages his family wine business, Hamilton’s Ewell Vineyards. He is passionate about arts and heritage and has an avid interest in modern Australian art and classic motor vehicles.

Peter Grope
COMMERCIAL PARTNER
Peter established Grope Hamilton Lawyers alongside Mark in 1983.
He specialises in business transactions and advice, estate planning and documentation, commercial leasing services and property transactions and disputes.
In his free time, Peter enjoys a range of sports including tennis and skiing and is a keen traveler. He also manages his own investment properties and hotel and commercial developments .

Tony Kerin
CIVIL LITIGATION PARTNER
Tony is an experienced lawyer who boasts a broad portfolio of areas of specialisation.
He practices in the areas of commercial and business litigation and disputes, criminal law, employment law, medical negligence, common law damages claims, personal injury and insurance claims and wills and estate planning.
In his spare time, Tony loves spending time with his family and watching a variety of sports including, football, netball, athletics and cricket.

Jim Bidstrup
SENIOR CONVEYANCER
Jim is a highly experienced commercial and residential land broker and has handled land divisions of all sizes for numerous local and national property developments.
His areas of specialisation are business transactions and advice, commercial and residential conveyancing, commercial leasing services and property transactions and disputes.
Outside of work hours, Jim enjoys a glass of wine accompanied by good food.

Christopher Michalakas
SOLICITOR
Christopher specialises in personal injury law, focusing on motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and public liability cases. He earned his degrees in Economics and Law from the University of Adelaide and was admitted as a solicitor/barrister in South Australia in 2024.
Christopher's dedication to securing fair compensation for his clients has been acknowledged in the legal community. He was recently featured in The Advertiser as a "Rising Legal Eagle," a testament to his commitment to justice and client advocacy.

Andjela Jovic
SOLICITOR
Andjela completed her Bachelor of Laws and GDLP and was admitted to practice on the 18th of March 2024. She worked as a law clerk with us for 12 months and has now been promoted to solicitor.
She is a member of our civil litigation team and is passionate about supporting clients through their legal challenges, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. In her free time, Andjela enjoys music and has played netball for over eight years. She is also fluent in Serbian.

Alexandra Hamilton
LAW CLERK
Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce from the University of Adelaide, as well as an MBA from Cambridge Judge Business School. She is currently undergoing her GDLP while working as a law clerk at our firm. Drawing on her diverse professional background across consulting, strategy and client-facing roles, she brings strong communication and planning skills to her work in legal matters.Alexandra has a keen interest in fashion and the creative industries, having previously co-founded and operated her own fashion business in the UK. She stays across emerging trends and brings a strategic, commercially focused mindset to both legal and business contexts.

David La Pietra
SOLICITOR
David completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International Studies at the University of Adelaide, and recently finished his GDLP placement. Having worked with Grope Hamilton Lawyers as a law clerk, he has now been admitted to practice and promoted to solicitor.
David has gained experience across a broad range of practice areas including personal injury, medical negligence, property law, wills and estates, liquor licensing, contracts, and intellectual property. He also has a strong interest in criminal law and is committed to providing clear, client-focused legal support.
Outside of work, David enjoys reading and writing short stories. He is passionate about music and plays both the guitar and bass guitar.

Dwayne Freeman

Dwayne completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Adelaide and has been working as a law clerk since 2021. He assists in a range of legal areas, including estates and trust litigation, criminal law, personal injury, and medical negligence. Dwayne is committed to developing his legal expertise and providing dedicated support to our team and clients.In his spare time, he enjoys farming, fishing, camping, hunting, and gardening.

Saad Jalees
LAW CLERK
Saad holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of London and has undertaken additional legal studies in Australia to support his transition into local practice.
He brings over five years of cross-jurisdictional legal experience, including practice as an attorney overseas and advisory work in corporate and ESG compliance. Since relocating to Australia, Saad has worked with several law firms and is now developing his expertise in personal injury, workers’ compensation, criminal, and commercial law.
Outside of work, he enjoys sports, travelling, and spending time with his wife and daughters.

Lyndee has over 20 years experience in the legal world and makes sure that everything at Grope Hamilton Lawyers runs smoothly as our Office Manager and Mark’s assistant.
Outside of her busy work schedule, Lyndee enjoys spending time with her children and catching up on her favourite crime shows and Aussie dramas.

Judith Bloxsome
PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO TONY KERIN
With over 30 years of experience as a legal secretary, Judith provides dedicated and knowledgeable support across a broad range of legal areas, including personal injury, medical negligence, WorkCover matters, wills and estates, and more. Her extensive background plays a vital role in supporting Tony Kerin’s practice.
Outside of work, Judith has a strong interest in health and wellbeing. She is a certified yoga teacher and enjoys walking by the sea and keeping active at the gym.
